Hello, I’m Megha and I’m sponsored by Barbie.
My village in the south of India was wrecked by the tsunami and we lost our house and everything else. It is a small fishing community.
(2008) We still live in a tsunami shelter and we are waiting for a governement descision to get a new house.
I was born on 26th March 1997.
It has helped us a lot to have my school things bought for me and it feels good to know that I have a sponsor and I can go on to further studies if I do well enough.
My family doesn’t have enough income to meet the day to day expenses of family life and the educational expenses of my brother and me.
We are in the “Below poverty Line” category.
Barbie also bought me a special gift. Look – a bicycle!
